- Website submissions: listing details, business details, event details, contact information, and optional submitter name or contact details that you choose to provide.
- WhatsApp bot messages: your WhatsApp number and message content when needed to reply, process reports or suggestions, remember limited conversation context, prevent abuse, or send admin-reviewed notifications.
- Anonymous query logs: ordinary directory questions may be logged without your phone number so the team can understand common searches and missing answers.
- Admin-maintained records: resident names, phone numbers, notes, blacklist entries, reports, ratings, and submission review status when entered or reviewed by an administrator.
- Technical information: hosting logs, request metadata, and browser storage used by the website to keep locally submitted items or admin edits visible in the interface.
How We Use Information
- To answer directory, community, event, and WhatsApp group queries.
- To review and approve or reject directory, business, event, and correction submissions.
- To contact submitters when a submission, report, or admin action requires follow-up.
- To maintain safety, prevent abusive use, and manage blacklist or appeal requests.
- To improve directory coverage by reviewing anonymous query patterns and missing-answer logs.
What Becomes Public
Approved directory entries, resident-run business entries, event listings, and relevant contact details may be published on Malhar.Community. Please submit only information that you have permission to share publicly.
Personal submitter details marked as admin-only are used for review and follow-up, and are not intentionally shown in the public directory.
Third-Party Services
The service relies on third-party providers to operate, including providers that support hosting, messaging, directory data, email notifications, typography, and AI-assisted responses or transcription.
These providers may process data according to their own terms and privacy practices when they help deliver the service.
Data Sharing
We do not sell personal information. Information may be shared with administrators, service providers used to run the site or bot, or others only when needed to operate the directory, respond to a request, protect the community, or comply with applicable requirements.
Retention
Information is kept for as long as reasonably needed for directory administration, audit history, safety, and service improvement. Administrators may delete rejected submissions, reports, conversation records, or other records when they are no longer needed.
Your Choices
- Do not submit private, sensitive, or confidential information through the website or WhatsApp bot.
- Ask the administrator to correct or remove a public listing if it is inaccurate or should no longer be shown.
- Ask the administrator to review, correct, or delete personal information associated with your submissions or WhatsApp interactions where feasible.
Security
Administrative access is restricted, and the service is maintained with reasonable care. No website, messaging system, or hosting provider can guarantee absolute security, so avoid sharing sensitive personal information through this service.
