Dance without stopping by Preeti Sunderajan

Date :

Venue :
Courtyard Koota

We invite you to experience an evocative solo dance-theatre production that breathes life into the voices of four Bhakti poet-saints—Kanhopatra, Soyarabai, Bahinabai, and Janabai—while drawing profound connections to contemporary struggles for equality, justice, and love.

Through the expressive languages of Bharatanatyam and Lavani, this performance transcends time, weaving movement, poetry, and narration to tell stories of resilience, defiance, and devotion. Each poet is embodied through an elemental force—wind, earth, river, and fire—symbolizing their enduring relevance in our modern world.

Join us for an evening where history and the present converge, where art becomes activism, and where the call for a more just world continues to echo through movement.

( Inspired by the book Ant who swallowed the sun - Translated Abhangs of Marathi women saints by Neela Bhagwat and Jerry Pinto).
